Hi there! I’m Isha

Helloooo all you wonderful people! Welcome to tiny little corner of my world! My name is Isha and I have, over the span of many years, fell into a romantic love affair with food. Eating it, reading about it, creating it, and of course TALKING about it.

Growing up, my mum loved to cook and try different recipes, and I was always happy to be her sous-chef, but only if it meant I would do the eating while she did the cooking, haha! My love for food has also unfortunately meant that I’ve been through many many ups and downs with my physical and mental health – because portion sizes are only a guide not the rule aren’t they?!

This has left me craving to have a much healthier relationship with food, and I’ve been on a journey to reinvent food to make it healthier and more macro-friendly. I am a proud Indian Australian which means that many of the recipes you’ll find here are inspired by the delicious flavors of my mom’s home cooking, but with tweaks in ingredients to make them a little healthier (because we all love those gains!).

The name “The Lean Green Way” came about as an ode to my mom’s absolute belief that vegetarianism is the best way of life, while constantly trying to find ways to make our food delicious but healthy. I hope you enjoy reading this blog as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it!
